Established in 2015 and officially registered as an NGO on June 29, 2018, Giving is Fun Initiative is a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting widows. Our mission is to advocate on their behalf by seeking assistance from governments, companies, ministries, organizations, and individuals to provide the support they need to thrive.

Our objectives include empowering widows to become self-accountable and self-reliant, helping them break free from poverty. We conduct eye screenings, provide necessary medications and eyeglasses, and offer relief materials, physical support, and financial aid to those in need. Additionally, we create employment opportunities through skill acquisition programs and training seminars designed to equip widows with the tools they need for sustainable livelihoods.

Our vision stems from the personal story of our founder, who witnessed the struggles her mother endured as a widow. Inspired by her mother’s resilience and strength, the initiative was created to extend hope and support to widows across society. We are committed to using all available legal means to ensure widows are empowered to build better futures.

Since its inception, Giving is Fun Initiative has achieved remarkable milestones. Over the last four years, we have registered and supported approximately 2,000 widows, providing care, empowerment, and opportunities for growth. Our work has been recognized with numerous awards for excellence and dedication to widow empowerment. Notably, we received significant support from His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Former Governor of Lagos State) on December 3, 2018, further validating our mission and impact.

Through our efforts, Giving is Fun Initiative continues to transform lives, offering widows the resources, opportunities, and support they need to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
